A study by the University of New South Wales states show that moodiness is a sign of a high IQ, because, apparently, people with a state of “very moody” spirits are able to make better decisions. The study reveals that when a person is in a bad mood, memory increases and tends to improve their ability to argue and judge, whereas when a person is in a good mood, it is easier to create, imagine and cooperate.
“While a positive mood facilitates creativity, flexibility and cooperation, bad mood improves attention and facilitates a more prudent thinking. Our research suggests that sadness improves strategies to process information in difficult situations,” says Joseph Forgas of the University of New South Wales.
But even though the study states that “it is not good to be always in a good or bad mood” as both moods are needed to keep harmony in the world. Nothing much intelligence will serve your mood if you end up being alone.
Here are some tips to let go of your bad mood when it becomes a problem.
Meditate: When you’re focused on meditation anger fades and helps you clear your mind to better solve anything.
Changing environment: Surround yourself with things, people and different sensations, and it will be easier to get rid of your bad mood.

Thank the good things: When you remember all the good things in your life and you are filled with gratitude, feelings of anger disappear.
Listen to upbeat music that you like and sing: This is one of the best recipes against bad mood that will make you feel good about yourself.
Help someone: To stop thinking about how bad you feel, it is better to help someone, and you will realize the true extent of your problems.
