A strange film posted on YouTube shows what would be the last moments of a mysterious man while he disappears exploring the famous catacombs of Paris.
Buried beneath the bustling French capital to a myriad of tunnels and forgotten caves, which date back to Roman times. These catacombs are essentially old quarries, where much of the carved stones were used to build the city.
However, during the 1700s, when the city was in the midst of a crisis of overcrowded cemeteries, officials ended up using the endless mazes of caves, to hold the remains of up to six million Parisians.
Some parts of the vast underground network still remain open to this day for the tourists, but only with guided tours, although since 1955, much of the catacombs were sealed.

But that did not stop many brave souls trying to break the system of prohibited areas to make their urban farms.
The scary clip appears to show one of these attempts, documenting the journey, a single operator is in the labyrinth of the fund, while discovering thousands of piles of human remains, which remain untouched since they were left in place to rest.
As the video progresses, the man seems to panic while trying to find the way back out. Eventually, he drops the camera, showing his footsteps disappearing into the darkness, never to hear about it again.

The camera was found by a subsequent group of explorers who allegedly took the tape to the authorities.
More than a million people have seen the video since it was posted on YouTube, but little is known if the man was killed or found a way out.
One visitor commented: “It is a pity that he panicked and let the camera fall, if he kept control, he could have watched the movie and found the way out.”
Another viewer said, “I’m sure he died down there, the video is so Blair Witch.”
Last year, a company held a promotion for Halloween, offering winners a prize, the opportunity to spend a terrifying night in the catacombs. Would you dare?
